someone on wtaworld from austrailia said the tournament was on the news and it said that anne had a rib injury. Obvoiusly a rib injury is hard to treat so i hope everything is ok at least for quebec.

Borwell, Sarah(5) 7-6(8) 6-2 Q Stephenson, Robin (USA)

Sarah through to the quarters here where she will face ADAMCZAK, Monique (AUS) 4 who beat STEIRO, Karoline (NOR) 3-6, 6-1, 6-2.

Jade Curtis is though to the doubles final here alongside her partner Adamczak (AUS)... they face the number 3 seeds NAGLE (USA) / STEPHENSON (USA)!

Been very close matches this weke in the doubles... in the last 2 rounds Curtis/Adamczak have had to win in champion tiebreaks, (10-6) in the quarters and (10-5) in the semi's!

heres hoping for some doubles glory for jade!

good for jade to get to doubles final she is playing well out here!!
she will shoot up the doubles rankings thats alot of points. her singles ranking will soar also

Next up for Sarah is a tough match against 4th seed Monique Adamczak who made the semis in Rockhampton. She's ranked about 80 places higher at 184. Both Anne Keothavong and Naomi Cavaday have beaten her this week though Naomi's win (In WTA Kolkata) was a very tense 3 setter. Adamczak is quite a consistent player but can hit some big forehands. She's likes the slower surfaces, has had some good results on clay so will feel at home on the high bouncing acrylic this week

Borwell lost 6-2, 7-5 and Jade lost in the doubles 6-4. 6-1
