Week 42 - Futures F20 (15k) - Glasgow, Great Britain

Looking at Chramosta's journey through the rounds, it's noce to see that Willis seems to have tested him more than Van Der Duim and Fischer.

Will Ken break the 1000 rankings barrier with this weeks point?

I think Ken picked up three points last week - this should have pushed him into the top 1000 even without this weeks point

Glad to see Josh make the final - lets hope he gets the win tomorrow

Shame about Richard as he's going to slip further back after losing another chunk of points. Great stuff for Josh though, 2nd 15K final in the past month

You'd have to back him to take the title now but Chramosta is always dangerous in these British futures, despite being only ranked down in the 500s he always does well in them. He's taken out the 2nd and 3rd seeds this week, both top 300 players.

Josh beat him in Czech Republic last Dec when Chramosta retired after losing 1st 6-4.

Thanks for the scores and match info sd51rby, will you be there again today ?

Good win for Josh, who looks to be finding his form again, and if he gets a good draw next week then he could do well and make sure he gets back in the top 300, and possibly the top 250, which should be his aim for the end of the year

Final :

Chramosta def Josh Goodall 3-6 6-3 6-2

Tough loss for Josh but a good couple of weeks.

That's a chance wasted. cry.gif

The good thing is that he won't have to defend a Future title plus some Challenger points in the same week next year.

Haha, you always wrongly use  out here for the crying face, no doubt because of how much you frequent WTA World.

I do the opposite mistake on WTAW.

Shame to see Josh lose the final but as was said Chramostra was on a roll after taking out the 2nd and 3rd seeds so it's not all that surprising.

Challenger in Barnstable next week for Josh right? Hope he gets a good draw there and has built up the confidence a bit these past few weeks.

I've been speaking to someone on MTF who went all week to this....

he says that Chramosta was playing at an incredible level and that Dan Cox was very impressive Against Stoppini he was really troubling him (though Stoppini was injured during that one) and he also looked good against Goodall. Goodall said afterwards that he thought Cox played incredibly well.

I'm going to ask him about some more of the matches

Seems like Marcus did incredibly well to take eight games off Chramosta.
