The final leg of the series of WTA events in Asia is in Thailand. Bally has crossed over from Japan before returning there for some 25K events. The qualifying draw here is stronger than in Japan, with nearly all the seeds having been in the main draw of Tashkent or Tokyo. Bally has drawn Katie's doubles partner 4th match tomorrow - which may be a good time to play her, given that she will only just have flown in from Tashkent. Ominously Brit basher Meng Yuan lies in wait if both reach the final qualifying round. This is Bally's section of the draw:
3-AMANMURADOVA Akgul UZB vs BALTACHA Elena GBR TOCHILOVSKAYA Elizaveta RUS vs MRAZ Karia FRA NAMIGATA Junri JPN vs ZHANG Shuai CHN 8-YUAN Meng CHN vs Nuria LLAGOSTERA VIVES Nuria ESP
Yes, unfortunately AA has been granted an extra day to recover, which means she will be a tougher opponent and Bally has to play twice tomorrow if successful
it was always going to be extremely tough for Bally.....the Uzbek girl is ranked 92 and beat another top 100 player in making the Tashkent quarters last week...she cruised through qualies this weekend too.
Strange that she was given an extra day to recover, never heard of that happening before...bribery maybe !
