Andy is defending 5 points from Tokyo 2006 - not enough to drop any places.
 
Canas drops to 15, as he defends 35 points from 2006.


What - If:

Andy has 1335 points and is sitting at world number 18.

If Andy wins Metz
He will have 1510 points
He will overtake Chela and Youzhny
He could be overtaken by Hewitt if he wins Tokyo

Best Case: up 2 to 16, Worst case: up 1 to 17.

If Andy reaches the final
He will have 1455 points
He will overtake no- one
He could be overtaken by Hewitt if he reaches the Tokyo final

Best Case: no change at 18, Worst case: down 1 to 19.

If Andy reaches the semis
He will have 1410 points
He will overtake no- one
He could be overtaken by Hewitt if he reaches the Tokyo semis

Best Case: no change at 18, Worst case: down 1 to 19.

If Andy reaches the quarters

Damn. Hewitt won again this morning, and (temporarily I hope) overtakes Andy - if Andy wins his match today he will get the place back. No pressure, Andy.
