Now I look at the story again, it is a bit ridiculous how much he's read into the Count's post, which suggests that maybe he got a more spiced up version through someone at the LTA instead. The Mail version seems to be a virtual copy of the Times article, even down to saying that Boggo has taken the no. 1 singles slot, when I assume that's still going to go to Baker, unless the two players actually selected are then automatically defined as no. 1 and no. 2 for the draw based on rankings.

the mail verison is the 1 that really gets me, this line in particlaur:
Bogdanovic's error represents a new low for the British game.
i am not sure what error he has made? i would think needing a couple of extra racquets, either just to be on the safe side, or beaucse he wants fresh looking one for his sponsers is not something that can take the game to a new low?
wait till the papers find out that we had to send over right shoes too as he only took left ones with him by mistake

Sorry, but it does seem like a bit of an error to me. Surely Boggo should have been prepared and had the correct equipment with him to play a live rubber in any case?

I think you have been taken in by these tabloid style headlines John, Boggo WAS equipped when he left on tour but new racquets did not arrive until later.
By the way, The Mail website as yet have not published my comments to this effect - Typical ! It would mean admitting they had published rubbish, there are other inaccuracies in their story as well which will be revealed in due course.

You couldn't be further from the truth. I haven't even read any of the tabloid style headlines. My entire knowledge of the matter comes from this thread and from what I've read it appears that Alex was underprepared in the case of him possibly having to play a live rubber.
