After practise on Tuesday the British no 2 told press:
I think the singles are all going to be very tight. [Ivan] Ljubicic and [Marin] Cilic are obviously both really good players, but the fact that were playing on grass definitely favours us so I think all of the singles rubbers are there to be won but could go either way.
But I think we definitely have the edge as far as the doubles is concerned and it helps that we have some options.
For most of my career Ive had to play all three days and when youre playing best of five sets it becomes very draining both mentally and physically.
But with Jamie Murray now in the squad it means we have a few more options and we can see how the singles go on the opening day before deciding who will play on Saturday, so that helps enormously.
I dont think theres any doubt that the doubles is going to be key and I like our chances.
Either Andy or Tim could parter Jamie in the doubles, the Murray bros made an ATP final in Bangkok last year and the semis in Dubai at the start of 2007.
Ranked 82 in the world, so probably a solid doubles player, but I guess he gets into all the MS events on his singles ranking which helps the ranking quite a bit
With his serve, he's always going to be a tough player to break, and he's not too bad at the net as well, but nowhere near top quality status
I would say that Jamie, Andy and Tim are all better doubles players than him, which makes us the big favourites to win that rubber

See Neil Broad's contribution to "I remember Tim", the Indy's farewell tribute to "a British sporting hero" for Tim's potential as a doubles player. It consists of a few people's reminiscences about him at various stages in his career (others include Caroline Hall, who was the ball girl he memorably hit with a ball at Wimbledon in 1995, Goran, Jet Ski & Minto).
