Alex is gonna have to go some places to defend those pts....just hope he avoids the top 4 in his quarter....i'm struggling to think of what would be a good rd1 draw !
He led Boggo by a set in Mons quarters last year and served for the match at 5-4 in the 3rd.....so wouldn't be great to face him again so early...but I guess that's one of the "best" draws
Christophe Rochus would be a good round 1 draw, and then hopefully the seed he is supposed to play in round 2 is a late withdrawal and brings in a LL... just hope he avoids having to play Sluiter 3 times in 4 weeks this year

Steven posted: "Not good news, particularly since Boggo is defending 63 finalist points from last year. Tigger is defending 175 finalist points from Tokyo (are you beginning to see why he retired when he did?), so Boggo should end the week as GB no. 2 whatever happens, but he may not be in the top 150 at the time ..."

"Olly Rochus as the seed isn't the worst draw, in my opinion. If Boggo plays his best I think he could definitely beat Rochus. Of course he has to get there first."
It's on medium paced indoor carpet so suits Alex perfectly, last year he won a series of nail-biting 3 setters, beating players like Raemon Sluiter to make the final before losing to Tipsarevic in 3. In the quarters he came from 3-5 down in the final set to beat Belgium's Stefan Wauters.
Gremelmayr is a decent draw given just how many really good indoor players are in this. Gremelmayr's ranked 149 but reached the top 100 in 2006. He favours clay, having made two challenger finals on the dirt this year plus the semis of the super-strong Bronx 50K.
Rochus has just made the final of ATP Mumbai which is ominous. There have been suggestions that he may pull out of this tourney but given that this is the largest mens tournament in Belgium, he'll surely make every attempt to get there.
James Auckland and Ross Hutchins (2) v Marco Chiudinelli (Swiss) and Victor Troicki (Serbia) Jamie Delgado and Gilles Miller v Frederic De Fays and Germain Gigounon (Belgium, WC)
Both our pairs will play each other in the Quaters if they both win.
hmm, tough week for boggo, in all likleyhood he will drop points here, but his main concern at the moment is staying fit.
There are 8 events to go inc mons and he needs to be trying to gain points each week, he has about 137 poinst to defend in total so its a lot, (he need qf's each week to do that) although he will surely have a good chance of winning both the brit ones (he needs to match a win at least anyway). hopefully pick up points at barnstaple week where he suprsingly lost 1st round last year
i am not sure if he will try slovakia and ukraine again or opt for the easier events, last year he went for the tougher ones and it didnt pay off, but i have a feeling he will go for them again, and a bit of luck could see him make some gains.
