Play has been rained off for a while so Slabba and Cox's matches haven't finished/started yet...play should start again soon so we'll get them tonight
Looks as though it stayed rained off: tomorrow's OoP shows Cox vs Junaid as first match on Court 1, to finish (with Cox apparently leading 3-6 6-2 4-0 ) & Slabba vs Popovic first on Court 7. Dan (or Junaid) then faces Josh Goodall in the third match on Court 1 (tough one!) & Slabba (or Popovic) Luca Rovetta or (more likely, I'd have thought) Conor Niland (2) in the third match on Court 2...
Well done to Goodall and Skupski for their wins, and hopefully one of them can win another round to make the SF's here
Loving that Cox scoreline as well, and this shows that he definately can compete with the big boys, and if he plays ATP events for the next year will hopefully be up in the top 500 or so by this time next year. Hope he finishes him off tomorrow, and Slabba joins them in the QF's as well
OMG @ the Cox score....amazing stuff from him. Will be great if he can just close that out...second 10K quarters ? Would ensure a Brit in the semis as he'd then play Josh Goodall. All our top 1990 juniors should play mainly futures from now on..they're good enough to make latter stages of 10 and 15Ks at this level so doesn't make sense to still be playing junior tourneys apart from the slams.
Hopefully Slabba can come through against Popovic....Rovetta leads Niland by a break in the opening set so that section could possibly open up
Skupski's first futures quarter-final since those exciting results in ATP Nottingham.....dont think he has much chance against top seed Martin Fischer though. Fischer is 300ish, 2 futures titles this year and he took a set off world no 73 on clay
gutted about Slabba...missed opportunity there, had been a nice opening for him with the draw...next week's 15K will be seriously tough
Great stuff from Cox...interesting to see how close he can push Goodall
If Junaid wasnt injured and Cox just played him off the court then he should have nothing to fear from Goodall....I do hope in this instance that Cox wins.

If Junaid was injured, then I wouldn't have thought he would have bothered coming out to finish the match this morning, and would have retired overnight, so it is a great win for Cox, and hopefully he can give Goodall a good match
Surely based on the performances this week Cox, Evans and Skupski have done enough to deserve another WC for next week, which leaves one left, which possibly should go to Bamford after having a good month so far, or possibly one of the juniors, but with it being such a strong event, it may be better to give it to someone who has a greater chance of winning a match
Goodall beat him comfortably in Nottingham earlier this year but I think it'll be closer this time and if Dan plays like he did in the first two rounds, he could even take it. He normally does far better against players he loses to in the first place in their subsequent meetings (unless Piro is involved ).
