Another week, another qualifying marathon in the US
Five Brits up for the challenge and all have cleared the first round
Richard Wire d. Jean Marc Bazanne (HAI) 7-6(6) 3-6 6-4 Jonathan Kinsella d. Trent Aaron (USA) 6-1 1-6 7-5 Matthew Brooklyn d. Daniel Chu (CAN) 7-6(3) 6-3 Max Jones d. Collin Vero-Casavant (USA) 6-1 6-3 Jonathan Parkes d. Zac Tsai (USA) 6-1 6-1
Seems like you were correct to me. Brooklyn lost to Radu Albot who now plays Jones. Am I missing something?

Well done to Jones for qualifying... but when you see he draws the top seed, you wonder what all the effort was for
Hope he gets the win, but don't really think he has much of a chance against Monroe
Not sure why people would play a 128 qualifier tournament, as even if you do qualify and get a nice draw, you are likely to be too tired by the time you reach round 2/Qf are can't take advantage of it
Arka will be happy that Max Jones has turned up, any info on Brooklyn or Parkes?
Yes, I am pleased that he's playing these one off Futures every now and then. It's not exactly a huge shock that he beat Albot (although the scoreline is far better than what I thought it would be!) because he qualified here last year, too, and then took 9 games off a top 500 player.
Parkes is Jones's fellow player at New Mexico where as Matthew Brooklyn goes to the Arizone State University.
