Great comeback at the end from Katie, dismal display but at the end of the day, its the win which matters
Sadly she hasn't qualified yet, will have a tough match tomorrow and will need to go up several gears. She needs to head to the practise courts later today and do some serves
shes gonna have to bring it up another couple of gears tomorrow because she was so lucky that she won today, the girl was two points away from the match 3 times and each time, she missed her first. Katie's next opponent probably wont give her comforts like that

Katie.... well at least she won, hopefully she can produce a confident display tomorrow and make the main draw - I hope she can take heart from this week and get back to winning ways after a disappointing post-Wimbledon summer.
Katie plays Ana Vrljic of Croatia, who upset her more highly-ranked countrywoman Ivana Lisjak. This may be good news for Katie, as she beat Vrljic at Tipton earlier this year.
Katie is second match on court 2 (first match at 9am our time) and returns to play doubles fourth match.
im not shocked. She was playing really poorly and even though she managed to half her DFs, it still wasn't good enough. Hopefully this is a reality check for her because she could be overtaken by anne in the next 24 hours.

I just read on GBTG that just before this tournament Katie had all her rackets stolen....she had to compete using a borrowed racket. So given the circumstances, winning 2 qualies matches is pretty dam good !
She's playing Nottingham 25K next week, will be top seed...needs to make semis at least with all the pts from last year to defend. Nigel Sears will be there providing some info
