Mirza possibly, but there is still a player ahead of Sarah in the LL pecking order despite Cornet's withdrawal.

ivanova won the 1st set, 6-3, but Naomi is on form in the 2nd set about to break ivanova at 5-2, 15-40.....

Well Naomi won the set 6-2 but went down in the 3rd set by 6-2

Disappointing.

She had a difficult match yesterday, maybe mentally she was fatigued. At least she managed to fight it till the last set. Hopefully it will be the first of many in qualifying for these lower tier events. Naomi showed determination and grit to make it to the main draw, hopefully the experience she gained this week will push her to do well in Seoul next week. Disappointing as it may seem, but she still young, only patience can be given to the fortunates.

Shame she lost

BUT this is a step up from losing in the final round of qualies and she did put up a good fight. Hopefully she can soon take the next step and start not only qualifying but also winning matches. Positive week for Naomi in my opinion.
