Anne has drawn Sara Errani in the first round. Errani has just had a run to the SF in Bali so it will be a very difficult encounter for her. If she comes through that match, her likely second round opponent will be Sania Mirza.
i know that will be a tough match but i think she can pull it off. Any thoughts on this?
Well done naomi.

The week after an unusually successful tournament is often a good time to play someone, as Sara will have used up a lot of mental energy being unused to playing back-to-back matches against the likes of Lindsay Davenport and Aiko Nakamura
That's true. There's bound to be a lull in her form. Also Errani said that she was surprised by her success on hard court as she dislikes the surface, I think she's more of a claycourter, so hopefully the Kolkata surface won't be too her liking (I heard something about dung courts??)
Errani's ranked 90, has made three WTA semis this year, two on clay...won a 25K and made 50K+H final too...both on the dirt. Doesn't compete much on other surfaces. She's not very good indoors to say the least....Stoopy beat her 6-2, 6-1 on indoor hard last yr and a week later Natasha Khan beat her 6-0, 6-2.
She'll be tough especially having beaten Medina Garriques this week, who's been top 25...however as DavidC says, hopefully there will be a comedown and Anne can take advantage
If she can get through, there's a real chance to make last 8 as Mirza is very doubtful...the only reason she hasn't withdrawn so far is because its in India
Sadly this tourney isnt held on dung, hard courts I think. Naomi is hoping to find some dung courts to check them out
I'd be surprised if Naomi doesn't beat Adamczak..the Aussie got beat 3 and 0 in Bali qualies..Anne beat her 6-1, 7-5 in Lexington. Adamczak has quite a good 1st half of the year, won a round at the Aussie Open, did well in some challengers on clay
Sarah's gonna have to play out of her skin to come through though. She famously beat Domachowska 6-3, 6-7, 6-4 at Wimbledon 2006 so we can hope for a repeat. The Pole is now ranked in the 180s but has been as high as 36 and took out Bally twice in straights this yr. If she could stay injury-free she'd still easily be top 100, has won matches at WTA level this year
