Have you been at the tournament today tennisbrain ? If so, would you be able to give some info on the matches for my report on britishtennis.net ?
thanks
Impressive wins for Amanda and Naomi...Becky's loss is quite a shocker though ! and she's been showing signs of a return to form recently Disappointing that Olivia's defeat was so one-sided, Wong turns on the form when she hits British shores but the rankings difference between them is only 200 places. Liv hasn't really been at her best all summer.
no my brother is a coach and was watching some of his pupils there. i thought he said to me marks was 31 up in second and warburton was 43 up. he also said it was really windy!!! so none of the matches were that good quality hes going tomorrow and not again so will tell u wat he thought of tomorrow matches.
ok ....info on tomorrow's matches would be quality
ATP oop have Marks and Warburton scores other way round to him....he must be right tho having been there
Anna now faces Yasmin in rd2, they played in Nottingham last year and Anna won 6-2, 6-3...likely to be much closer this time, Yasmin is bigger and stronger
That's probably pick of the rd2 Brit matches....Naomi plays Buryachok, I reckon she has a real chance there. Amanda play Becky's conqueror...tough as she's already won 3 matches this week but Amanda is playing gr8 stuff atm
bone beat kirsty 6-2 in the third cornish got warburton to love in second
anna smith beat yasmin 2 and 1
fitzpatrick took out bone 4 and 3
elliott lost to american qualifier
cornish beat highly ranked 3rd seed no wonder she took out warburton on this form
broady lost 6 and 5
my brother saw anna smith said she controlled it completely and was hitting hard very solidly elliott fought hard but he said she was too passive in some of the rallies cornish was on fire against the 3rd seed and outplayed lucy said it seemed as though she was surprised at some of the things she was doing he only saw the start of the broady match, i thought she could get that one. still on for the smartly predicted fiz smith semi's. i want smith to win i love her game
