Goodall/Rushby won 6-4 6-2. Good work with the scoring there guys. Looks like you were both pretty much on the mark!

Ken Skupski and his partner Granbow have secured the other semi- final place in the top half of the draw. Bammy & Kennaugh are second seeds and play today for a place in the other semi final.
Great to see that we will have at least 1 finalist in the doubles, and hopefully that semi final will be shown on the televised court. Looks like the Brits are having a good time in Sweeded this week, and hopefully can come back from it with a lot of ranking points
great stuff, was interesting watching the doubles last night...the Swedes just couldn't handle Goodall's superb serving plus he was also crunching some quality winners from the back.
Rushby looked impressive, his future could lie in doubles...currently ranked 330 and he'll be top 300 doubles once the pts from last week's 15K title have been added on. He's been to 6 futures doubles finals this year, so rocketing up the rankings...similar stuff to what Fleming and Jamie M achieved in 2005. Also mde a challenger semi with Flanagan in Wrexham so can compete in doubles at that level. He's got a great return, that seems to be his big weapon...got so many balls right down at the feet of the on-rushing server yesterday. As I saw in Hampstead he's got really good touch at the net too....difference between him and Ross Hutchins (Goodall's main partner for the past couple of yrs) is the serve....Hutchins and Goodall both bang down the aces and service winners consistently...somthing even the likes of Tursunov struggled to handle at Wimbledon.
Looking ahead to today's rd2 matches.....it will probably be a bonus if anyone other than Josh gets through.
Rushby has a re-match with Paukku who beat him 6-4, 1-6, 6-0 last week...wasn't plain sailing for the Fin, hopefully it'll be anothe 3 setter at least. Rushby will really have to up things from rd1...hopefully getting a good win in the doubles and showing some form there will lead to that. Paukku won the title last week and also won another 15K the week before
Bamford has a tough one against 16 year old Gaston Elias from Portugal who knocked out the 3rd seed (ranked 347) in 3 sets in rd1. Elias is already top 800 and made a 10K final in Spain this year.
Kasiri would have a good chance against most of the seeds here so unlucky to get the top seed Ryderstedt so early. Ryderstedt's top 250, has been a lot higher and has beaten Goodall, Mackin, Delgado in straights this year. Flanagan did beat him in 3 sets indoors though. Last week he surprisingly lost in the quarters
Goodall's progress should be straightforward, his Swedish opponent is outside top 1000 and hasn't been past rd2 of a futures this year
