Grambow and Skupski won 11-9 in a champions tiebreak...quite an amazing comeback from them, they were a set and a break down...and then 9-6 down in the champions breaker....Skupski saved 2 mps on his serve then Josh double-faulted on the 3rd
They've played once before, Josh won 6-2, 6-4 on outdoor hard in Greece, May 2006. I'm backing him to secure another straight sets win today. Durek has certainly made the semis the hard way, needing 3 sets to get past qualifiers in the first two rounds, he came close to going out against Sweden's David Nylen before coming through 4-6, 7-5, 6-2. Yesterday he was much more convincing against Gaston Elias, winning 6-3, 6-4.
Durek is ranked 528, career best of 400 reached in 2004. Has made 8 futures quarters this year, this tourney is the first time in 2007 that he's been past the last 8. Slabba beat him in a 3rd set breaker in Ireland in June but Durek beat Kasiri 2-6, 6-2, 7-5 on hard in Surrey couple of weeks ago.
yeah, 4 wickets down too so not looking good...hopefully Pietersen and Freddie can create some fireworks in the next 9 overs or we're gonna need one heck of a bowling performance
sorry to hear its so boring, at least its a job though ! I'm starting mine in about 10 days so my time on here will be soon limited
