Presume Rushby must be deep into a 3rd set on court 1, as that match is still going on based on the website... although it looks like the umpire was just collecting the balls, so the match could well have just ended, so let's hope there is some good news from that match

EDIT: They're still playing, so it must have been new balls rather than the end of the match

I think that could be the score as well. Josh is serving after the break, so he either won the first set 63, or it went to a tie break, but judging by the gap between posts, there wouldn't have been the time for that. I think he is a break up as well in this set, so that is the most likely score

Josh serving:

0-15: return winner cross-court

0-30: return takes Josh out wide, big fh into gap

0-40: crunching forehand winner dtl...Josh's length too short

Game: Josh plays a few fh slices, gets punished...Swede rips backhand winner cross-court

6-3, 4-4 (?)

Swede serving:

0-15: backhand wide

15-15: crazy pt...Josh powers fh dtl...the Swede is about 2 ft behind the baseline yet still manages to flick it cross-court for a winner

15-30: Josh steps in, takes on the 2nd serve and drives a fh into the corner

15-40: 2 big fhs, one cross-court and one dtl...forcing short ball which Josh dispatches

GSM: double fault

players shake hands...it must have been 5-3...must have been a break at the start of the set b4 I returned

maybe 6-3, 6-3

As you say it's disappointing but possibly to have been expected looking at the rankings.cry It would however, be good to see our boys getting the better of some of these players. We'll have to hope for good news from the doubles. Any info. yet on the Bamfs/ Kennaugh match?

This webcam has been awesome this week. Why oh why can't all futures be like this? Surely wouldn't be THAT much trouble to stick a webcam up and stream it on the net. Maybe as many of us as possible should email the tournament director and tell them what a great feature it is. Hopefully then it will be repeated at least in Sweden some more if not elsewhere.

Josh's quarter final is up first on court 3 tomorrow, so we will see the whole thing live. Play starts at 1430 local time as it has all week. His opponent is not yet known. Will be either Gojowczyk or Brage. They are still on court now, let's hope it goes on for a loooong time yet.

Third up on court 3 is Goodall/Rushby v Grambow/Skupski and third on court 1 is Durek
Figueroa v Bamford/Kennaugh. Good chance of an all-Brit final, or at least a 3/4 Brit final
