Disappointing send-off...with Nadal struggling it looked as if there might be a chance of one final big grand slam run and it might have happened on the back of a better season but Tim's lacking the sharpness to string together performances at top form and that's what he needed tonight against Tsonga who from the stats was just on fire. This guy will surely be top 30 at least soon, with those weapons.
It was inevitable that his final match would be a loss but I feel it's a shame that it wasn't to someone who has known and played against him over several years. It would have been nice for him to have had a friendly word over the net at the finish rather than the subdued end with Tsonga. No disrepsect to Tsonga who played a good match but the Tursenov match was a more fitting end to his tournament career.
Tsonga played really well, his serving was great. Tim didn't play that badly.
Sad to see Tim's Grand Slam career end, even worse that it didn't seem to warrant any post match on Sky who switched immediately to the Venus Williams match. :(
I was under the impression that all the other players on the tour had some secret agreement that meant they would let henman win should they play him and allow tim that elusive grand slam win. Either I was wrong or tsonga is really selfish.
