Raja bt. McGee Raja proved far too strong for an erratic McGee. The top-seeded Indian returned well and despite looking slightly overweight managed to run-down enough balls for the Irishman to miss.
Illingworth bt. Bradshaw Illingworth is only tiny but is lightning fast around the court and was too consistent for Bradshaw who produced some stunning winners but also some dire misses.
Priddle bt. Allinson Priddle is again another player who lacks any real weapons but more than makes up for it with his consistency. Sliced almost all his backhands and did well to keep Allinson at bay. Also showed some impressive nerve to win the final set tie-break having earlier failed to serve out the set at 5-3.
Sagoo bt. Baxendine Sagoo produced the performance of the day as he blew-away Baxendine in this one-sided affair. Baxendine looked solid and made few errors but that wasn't enough to keep Sagoo at bay who was hitting winners from everywhere and serving aces for fun.
Samuels bt. Martin Even though he is now a full-time coach and this is seemingly his first tournament since last year, Samuels looked a class-act against the one-dimensional Martin. Both have huge serves but Samuels returned and volleyed much better than the Frenchman who retired with a fever early in the second set. Samuels will be one to watch out for in the main draw and could quite easily cause an upset.
That pretty much matches with my description of Sagoo from March. Good to see he's back to that form and over his latest injury. Now for a second ranking point!...

Well we have 2 all Brit clashes and surely you must expect Josh to at least come close. Of the others, Kasiri has a definite chance on his best form, and I expect Hewitt, Rushby and Sagoo put up good fights.
I'm pretty hopeful of one of those winning and getting 4 Brits through..
