GET IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a feeling about that match but didn't have the foresight to put my prediction in! biggrin.gif

Needs to push on to the semis to make a big jump this week.

Although it was nice to see Ward come and play in Britain for a while, I tihnk he'd have been better off rankings ise staying in Spain on his preferred surface.

Most other Brits need practice and tournaments on all surfaces because there's so few grass tournaments etc but the top 100 is full of players who get all their points on clay!

It's interesting to note that this is actually the first time James has reached a quarterfinal on clay.

He's reached 6 quarters before (& 4 semis), all on hard courts.  4 in Spain & 2 in Greece.

surprises me! Great that he can play on hard too!

I think maybe outdoor hard differs in Spain and Greece than in Britain, and the other weather conditions I suppose.

Disappointing to see him lose, but I think we would have all taken a semi final at the start of the week, and hopefully this can give him the push to consistantly make the semi finals and finals of tournaments

Closer scrutiny suggests the 630's will be Ward's next rankings stop!

Problem is I can't work out when the points will go on with all this double week Us Open no rankings update and whether he was defending anything this week.

We need a Ward, Slabba, Seator and Kasiri rankings thread laughing.gif
