I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT CARLY HOMEWOOD IS PLAYING GEORGIE HINGLEY AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS BECOME A JOKE. this is the 4th time in 10k in 2 months and no to mention a few meatings in british tours
Dont they do SE in 10k tournies. it just that yasmin clarke in the Q. draw and im very annoyed that they did not give her a WC instead after her performance last week!
most of the expected happened first round. calry won the homewood/hingley battle again and natsha starling got a walkover. last round today and main draw begins wednesday
the people still in qualifying were transported somewhere else to play their matches because of the rain.
olivia scarfi v kirsty woolley scarfi although kirsty been playing well

Du Plessis was a given to make the main draw. Good to see Yas beating foreign competition so convincingly. Mel Berry must be relieved to have a win under her belt even if it's only in qualies. Good to see Claire and Carly pulling through too....shame about Pippa Reakes though.

Some good draws for some of the Brits - Karen, Julia, Anna, Liz all have winnable matches. Quite a few all-British affairs which is good to see as it's due to there being so many Brits playing here rather than unfortunate draws. Lucy W and Jess Jackson have tough draws though, but who knows they could cause an upset as they both seem to have the potential from what I have heard.
