Hopefully Evans, Cox and Rice will do this before leaving for Canada, but I doubt it.

Wild cards should go to Thornley and Kennaugh.

Kasiri's first tournament since July after about 6 weeks out with a slipped disc in his back...sustained in the Nottingham challenger

Hoping for a big run for Slabba here, he lives nearby so will have lots of support

Bethan and I will be there on Tuesday to do live scores and reports....hopefully I can persuade her to bring her camera so we have some photos too

Willis and Pauffley are playing Belgium this week so I wonder what other juniors could get the wcs......Milton maybe ? Smethurst ? Matt James ? Tim Hewitt ? Coupland ?

I have just spoken to Sarah Price the LTA tournament director and the qualy draw is still to be made and the MD wildcards are still to be released.

As normal we will be issued with updated draws and oop at the end of each days play.

checkout www.britishtennis.net\tournaments.html each day for the updates.

Seagull, Scott Sears is Nigel's son and brother of Kim. Decent win for him here

I'm surprised Iain Atkinson's results haven't been better in these futures....he's a huge guy, must be at least 6ft 4 and has some big shots. Had that great win in junior Queens last yr but apart from that hasn't really done much....is he focusing on tennis full time ? cause he seems to play a few tourneys then disappear for a couple of months before reappearing again

We must make mention of Mr Carboo's excellent win of Diankov WR1287 and the 5th seed.

Dont think he has ever had a WR point.

Diankov was apparently injured and looked to be serving like a twelve year old schoolgirl. No surprise really...

He then went on to thrash Scott Sears 1 & 2 to qualify for the main draw, where he'll face Miles Kasiri in R1 ( eyepopping.gif ).  Who is he, please?  I've never ever seen his name mentioned before, likewise Michael Ouvarov, who saw off Jagdev Sagoo 4-6 6-4 6-2 & faces Tim Hewitt (WC) in R1... confused
