I thought Tim played really well for the most part but, as seems to be the way of it at the moment, just couldn't quite do enough. Disappointing because the guy is still playing well. I would love to see him play more doubles and to play more tournaments because he could be winning a whole lot more than he is just now if he did.
You may yet get your wish. There is an interesting paragraph in the Times article about the break-up of the Booty & Stretch partnership which I posted on another MB when it appeared last week & to which Sheddie has provided a link elsewhere in this forum:
After Cincinnati, Murray said he may play in New Haven, perhaps with his brother, Andy, who returns here today against Robby Ginepri, of the United States, after 12 weeks out with a wrist injury, or even as a partner to Tim Henman, the British No 2, with an eye towards next month's Davis Cup play-off tie against Croatia at Wimbledon. [ed. something I remember I suggested at the time!] "It's quite a good time, as it's kind of the end of the year," he said. "If guys are looking for new partners, then there's a few tournaments to try things out, so I'll do that with some guys and hopefully I'll find one that wants to play with me next year."
