Just got back from there. I forgot to ask what happened in the end of the Sagoo match i'm 99% sure he lost it in the breaker cos he was throwing his racket all over the place. He did serve for the match at 5-3 up in the third.

Illingsworth was winning 6-4 3-3, that was a good match some great rallies.

The british guy who was playing the norwegian, forgot his name Addison? He was leading 6-4 2-0 when i left.

The Klein vs Hewitt match was brilliant. In the 1st set Hewitt totally outplayed Klein, some great rallies ending with a Hewitt forehand winner. Tim broke to be 1-0 up in the 2nd then things started to go wrong. Klein was missing quite a few backhands so changed to a slice which made him win lots of points. Al of a sudden it was 301 to Klein and then there was 2 mamoth games the biggest on Tims serve which lasted about 15mins, its turned the set around.

In the third set Tim broke at 1-1 i think then never looed back. At 4-3 up he saved 3 break points, some great serves and one error from Klein if i remember correctly. After loosing that game and going 3-5 down Klein seemed to give up a little.

Klein is so funny to watch, he talks to himself and makes the funniest comments, hes probably a great guy to know. The best bit was when he was trying to convince the umpire it was a let by starting to talk about the tragectory of the ball LOL! In the last 4/5 game he was throwing his raquet at the fence every other point. I'm suprised he didn't get a warnign really cos he was going waaaaaaaaaaaay OTT. He smacked a ball towards the fence on hewitt side once and tim said. 'All right mate calm down'. there was a bit of banter going on between them but it sounded all in jest.

I'll never forget the end after he lost and he wacked the ball at least 100m's over the fence and into someone back garden in the estate nextdoor. It went abotu 3-4 houses into the estate, then next he threw the racket over the fence and into the bush. He was on the other side of the court to all this :o

Oh and Klein also ran into the scoreboard and fell and dived for a volley and hit the ground quite bad. He didn't seem injured though, he might be sore tomorrow though.

I can see how Tim won the junior nationals now, hes a good player. I'm a bit suprised hes not done more in ITF juniors really.

I'm hoping Smith, Brewer and Miotto made the MD cut in the end then!

Even if Sagoo lost, at least Priddle is English.

They did:  Smith plays Richard Irwin, Brewer Slabba & Miotto Smeets, the top seed ( eyepopping.gif )! wink

As far as the qualifiers are concerned, we had 7 out of 8:  Rushby, Hewitt & Brassington have already been posted, Priddle is confirmed (4-6 6-1 7-6(1) - poor tie-break by Sagoo), Allinson (3 & 0), Wire (5-7 7-6(2) 6-3 - good win for him! smile ) & Illingworth (6-3 3-6 6-3) - is that some kind of record?  And even though Sean Thornley lost to Martin Colenbrander in the qualies (4 & 4), he's sneaked in as a LL! clap.gif

Great report, Mervatron. Klein has had loads of problems with conduct in the past!

And thanks a lot for the scores (thanks to Rob, too).
