A question

On the ITF Mens site when I look at the entry lists some of the players have a $ sign next to their name.

For example http://www.itftennis.com/mens/tournaments/tournamentacceptancelist.asp?tournament=1100016044&event=&order=Position
this page lists Groth and Kasiri with the $ sign next to their name.

What does this mean??

I've always understood it as meaning that they owe a fine to the ITF, or something along those lines... although I'm not 100% certain on that

thanks. That seems extremely plausible.

So its notifying them that the fine will come out of their prizemoney.

Yes its that the owe money to the ITF most of the time for late withdrawls.

They always have a list in wrexham of who owes what and for what that fine is for.
