Yay!  Aucks & Hutch, the second seeds, have kept up their end in Instant-bull on a day when all around them were apparently busy dropping theirs:  they beat Ghouse & Moser in what looks to have been a bit of a titanic struggle 6-7 7-6 [10-3] (score taken from the official site, which no longer claims to show games in progress, but does show the day's results from time to time, so no indication of the TB points)! clap.gifthumbsup.gif  The French WCs, Jeanpierre & Renavand, next.  They should have a slightly better idea of one another's style of play after today's match...

Plenty more court time & match tie-break practice for Aucks & Hutch today, but the main thing is, they got there in the end:  6-4 4-6 [10-6], so the Brit stake in one of the SFs rises to 75%! biggrin  Think I have a slight preference for an Aucks/Hutch win tomorrow...

And they did it! biggrin I feel slightly sorry for Delgo, but the second seeds prevailed, this time in straight sets - though not without a battle: 7-6(2) 7-6(8)! clap.gifthumbsup.gif  They now take on the top seeds, Norman & Vliegen, in tomorrow's final (third match on the centre court, with play kicking off at 14.00 local time/noon BST)... pray.gif

Pity that couldn't have been the final,Stircrazy, boo.gif I have to agree with your sentiments, feeling sorry for Delgo but pleased for Aucks & Hutch. teamwork.gif Here's hoping for the right result tomorrow. please.gif

well done to Aucks and Huss! HOpefully getting their confidence back up!

At least JD and friend justified their seeding and gave the semi a good go! Delgy has scored some good points last two weeks.

An easy mistake to make, johnnylad, given the similarity between the shortened form of Ross Hutchins' surname & that of his erstwhile (?) partner (the dear alone knows where he is at the moment), but I think you'd better make that Aucks & HuTCH... wink

It could have been better only if they'd done it in straight sets, but again, they got there in the end:  5-7 7-6(5) [10-7]! clap.gif  Well done, lads! thumbsup.gif  winner.gif
