Week 31 Futures (M) Senegal F2 - £15000

Aboubacar Sigue (BUR) def. (6) Greg Howe (GBR) - 2-6, 6-4, 6-4

Maniel Bains (GBR) def. (7) Harrison Keyser (AUS) - 6-2, 6-1

Maniel qualifies for the main darw after a great result, but don't know what happened to Howe out there...

However, Maniel has got a terrible draw in round 1.... he's drawn Mozart!

Amadeus Fulford Jones (GBR) vs. (q) Maniel Bains (GBR)

Unfortunately I have to agree with you... Bains looks to be way too good for Mozart, which is a shame as there were plenty of people he could have picked up a ranking point against

I have to agree with you on that one as well, as much as i would like to see mozart as you call him get another ranking point, i think bains will destroy him in straight sets.

I've never heard of Maniel Bains. Is he new to the scene? I don't even recall seeing his name in juniors.

He's played British Tour events mainly, but is still just a junior I think!

Ooh! That's good. (Though "better than Mozart" is hardly a spectacular endorsement, it's a start!)

ITF site says he's already won R2 as well but no scoreline and I tihnk its a mistake as a lot of R1 results not in yet.

We can but dream!
