Good win for Bains, and good to see another Brit added to those with a ranking point to their names.
Pity to see Mozart lose, but Bains appears to be a much greater prospect in the end anyway
Idan Mark of Isreal next for him, and he is ranked at 994 at the moment, but that is a career high for him. He has played both Childs and Rushby this year, but lost in straight sets to both of them. He has played a lot on clay, so he may not be too impressive on hard courts
Good news as well for Greg Howe, who won his first round doubles match, and could face Mozart in the QF's
I am pleased for bains, but i really hope fulford-jones gets another point in next weeks future in camaroon:)
Having seen the entry list.... he should pick up another point next week.
He will be the 8th seed (Ross Connelly is the 4th seed), and there are only 13 players on the entry list, so a lot of unranked players will be involved
Anyone else getting the urge to fly to Cameroon next week and try and play here, as I think we must have a chance of making the main draw, or at least have a good chance in qualifying
Well done Mozart, and looks like he has a good record as a doubles player, and this is going to help his ranking quite a bit, and hopefully crack the top 1000 again
They play Mark/Steele in the final, and this is the team they lost to in 3 sets last week, so they have an chance of winning the title here... are we going to adopt De Bonnevie as a Brit like he did with Buturac and Huss as well???
Pity to see Bains lose, but he got a ranking point which is probably what he wanted out of the week, and Mark has been in form lately, so not the worse loss.
