Anyway she won which is what its all about. Good luck to her. I am sure you send her your best wishes regardless of the way she acts on court. A wins a win. Straight sets as well. She wasnt too bothered about it all.

I'm not an uptight conservative but calling Fichman "a little sh*t" is a bit mean that's all. As I said I like her aggression and obvious desire to win and I'm behind her 100% it's just maybe she should I dunno let her tennis do more of the talking.
Anyway I'm really excited to see her in another 50K SF go Anne!!
EDIT: Just done some reading on WTA world, seems Fichman's a little madam and has kicked off with players in the past (Mary Gambale amongst others) so go Anne for standing her ground against the little biatch!
Yeah see there is always 2 sides to a story. We have never hearde of Anne turning on a player only herself anf the umpire so why all of a sudden did she behave like this?
Anyway shes through to the semis with a good shot at another final.
Except Vancouver's on the west coast of Canada...! I bet the Canucks would really take exception to a remark like that, were they ever to see it! My experience is that they thoroughly dislike being branded/lumped in with "Americans", though they accept that they are geographically part of "North America"! That said, Anne has had a comfortable passage (3 & 1) into the final, where I expect she'll end up facing Stephanie DuBois, but, as the underdog, will have absolutely nowt to lose...!
Fantastic win for anne here She surely is back into the top150 now where she belongs not at the job centre like john suggested only 2weeks ago that she should be looking for a new career, i think u should make an apology to anne.

DuBois it is, her opponent, Sunitha Rao, having retired at a set & 0-2 down. Go, Anne!
Not really Jack, my point was relating to a comment by Anne made last year where she remarked that winning $50ks and $25ks is small meat and that she didn't really want to be competing unless it was at tour level. She also came close to retiring a couple of times recently and has said that she doesn't want to continue if there's no chance of making top 100 soon. Please point out which part of a $50k semi and final disproves any of the above points??? I'm as happy as anyone about these wins for Anne and hope they help her to make the jump to tour level but I don't think they prove that she is there yet.

Anne was a set and a break up against Steph Dubois last week, hopefully this time she can keep the pressure up and take her first 50K title. Hopefully these back to back finals at 50K level will give her the confidence to win matches at tour level.
