Anne beat Sharon Fischman in 3 sets - Fischman is a talented youngster so this could have ended in an upset...well done to Anne for pulling through!

I dont think Katie would have been in the top 100 if she made the latter stages. Even if she had won the tournie, it still would have not been enough to make the top 100.

I think Pockytastic just meant it would have helped her get nearer to top 100.

Sorry yes I realise that winning wouldn't get her into the top 100 but would put her on the precipice of it and would show that she had a good chance of making - I mean winning a 50K would show that she had the talent and ability.

Hardly, there wasn't a top 100 player in the draw, and there were only 2 players inside the top 150.

Well it would at least be a step forward from winning a 25K which is the best she has done so far apart from 2nd rounds at Wimbledon and Eastbourne. I was trying to be positive and enthusiastic about one of our players

I have heard some slightly saddening news about Anne's match against Fichman. Apparrently it was a very ill tempered encounter with both women verbally abusing eachother. I'm glad that Anne is pumped up about her matches but not particularly liking the idea that she is being bitchy about other players even if they are equally to blame (and it seems Fichman was).

Everyones allowed to blow off steam, good for her. dog eat dog world on tennis court, didnt do McEnroe any harm. Look what he has achieved. Get out of the twenties. Oh I say thats not the way a lady from the British Empire should act.
