Jennifer and Amanda cruised through qualifying which is good. It's a shame Jennifer has to face Anna in the first round, but at least it will guarentee a Brit in round 2. Amanda has a chance against Sigutova who has struggled to qualify for ITF events this year.

Hopefully Anna can get some wins here, its been a while. If shes in decent form she'll win the title. Hopefully she'll do well at wrexhma agin this year.

Doubles QF:

BSOUL (GER) / SMITH (GBR) (3) defeated HELISTEN (FIN) / LAZAREVA (RUS) 6-1 6-0

Anna is at least still going in doubles. She hasn't had consecutive main draw wins since 10K Hamilton in March where she reached the final. Hopefully she can re-find her game soon.

Well done to Amanda, from what I have been told about her she relies on her court craft and is a petite but clever young player. Hopefully she can build on this first 10K QF and reach her first 10K SF!

Singles QF:

Katariina TUOHIMAA (FIN) (8) defeated Amanda CARRERAS (GBR) 1-6 7-6(6) 6-2

A close loss for Amanda. This week she has shown that she is capabale of playing well at 10K level on clay which is very positive.

Doubles SF:
