Josh was defending 35 points from reaching the final in Manchester last year, plus 18 points from winning the 2006 Felixstowe Challenger.  As a result he plunges out of the top 300 and off the bottom of my table.  He might reappear with a semi- final place in Manchester.

Bloomers advances a massive 9 places to 226 as competitors defend big points from 2006 : Bopanna, Sweeting, Knittel, Sa, Recouderc, Martin, Stakhovsky, Clemens and Soeda all drop behind biggrin.gif  A win in the first round in Manchester could take him up to 221.

Jamie is defending 6 points from Felixtowe 2006, but still manages to advance one place to 246 as  Soeda, Snobel and Josh drop behind him. A first round win in Manchester woudl take him up to 242.

Jonnie was defending 5 points from Manchester 06. As Motomura, Istomin and Josh drop behind him, he actually starts the week unchanged at 267.

Alan re- appears at the bottom of the table, up 8 as players drop behind him.

Chardy qualifies in Amersfoort and advances to just behind Jamie hmm.gifFischer reached the final Qualies round in Stuttgartt, so advances, but was then knocked out.  Also knocked out of qualies were Decoud, Gonzalez, Brands, Clemens and Ledovskikh.

I don't think Bethan's around this week, so I'll be back tomorrow with who the threats are - unless we hear from her first!

Burgsmuller and Azzaro qualify for Manchester and Rimini respectively and climb up onto the bottom of the table.  Hanescu wins his first round match in Amersfoort, climbing to within 2 points of Jamie. Bastl qualifies for LA, and advances  behind Jamie too.

Sweeting can overtake Bloomers if he beats Jenkins in Aptos  tonight hmm.gif
Soeda can overtake Jamie if he beats Monroe tonight hmm.gif
Suzuki (vs.Kuznetsov) and Evans (vs Isner) can overtake Jonnie tonight.

Lots happening this weekend while I've been away: lots of hits to the lads' rankings:

Darciswins in Amersfoort jawdrop.gif and overtakes Richardfurious.gif as do Bogomolov and Levy, who won Manchester furious.gifAll three go off the top of the table along with Cipolla. Bloomers down 3 to 233 furious.gif

Young, Levy and Vejmelka overtake Jamie furious.gif Jamie down 3 to 255 furious.gif That's the final ranking for Jamie this week.

Kiefer, Young and Belluci overtake Jonny. furious.gif Jonny down to 274 cry.gif He's safe there for the week too.


Burgsmuller and Amritraj also advancedhmm.gif. All bar Young and Vejmelka are knocked out smile.gif


Tonight,

Young plays Boggo threat Reynolds for the Aptos title. He'll overtake Bloomers if he wins hmm.gif

So Bloomers ends the week at 234, up just the one on the week.
Jamie, defending six points from last year, is down seven on the week at 255
Jonnie, defending five, is down six at 274.

Quite a big week for players coming up from below: Darcis, Kiefer and Young all doing very well.
