Boggo sounds like he needs a rest. No point playing tournaments like this if he's not 100% as the repeated losses and retirements will surely only undermine his confidence.

Count , the BBC are apalling at using admitted, claimed and words like that. You frequently see things like "We were robbed by the ref", admitted someone. So I would put stupidity just ahead of having a dig in the betting.

Booty and Stretch are up last on Grandstand court against Lipsky/Martin. Probably be early hours of the morning here. Desperately need these guys to bring some cheer to an otherwise drab week.

That's what I was expecting, but their names are up on the live scoreboard NOW & play is under way...!  Second seeds they may be, but that's no guarantee of safe passage to the second round! pray.gif

Stretch and Booty are down 5-3 in the first set. They need a break now.

3-2 S&B on serve.

Now if they could just sneak a serb girl on to make some returns they would be on the road.

Lipsky and Martin are pretty good, one of the upcoming American pairs. Lipsky in particular has a huge serve and forehand which did some serious damage last time Jamie faced them....with Col Fleming in the Binghampton challenger final last autumn. That day Lipsky and Martin won 10-2 in the champions breaker

Hopefully Booty and Stretch can turn this around

Booty and Stretch lead 5-4, on serve...Lipsky and Martin serving to stay in the set
