Week 29 - Challenger (M) - Manchester

seems Graeme's playing well, but Huta Galung is just getting everything back.

Sounds like a pretty good performance from Graeme against someone ranked well over 1000 places higher ! If he was dominating the rallies against someone as hard hitting as Huta-Galung then that certainly bodes well

Arka, do you know anything about Bopanna's game ? I think Childs might have a chance of an upset there, Bopanna is ranked 234. They've played 3 times before and Childs has won all 3 matches. The last two matches were on grass, Lee won 7-6, 3-1 ret in Surbiton 2003 and 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 in Manchester 2004.

Won't be easy for Childs at all as Bopanna loves playing on fast courts - nice serve and strong hands, although I've never seen him play singles. And he's in great form as he won the Challenger in Dublin, beating Zverev on the way.

Not a bad performance from Dyce.

can't believe what a lousy draw all the brits have got in what looked like a weak field:

- the top seed
- the second seed
- grass court ATP finallist
- winner of (synthetic) grass challenger

and a few others who can really hold their own!

hope richard can dig out a result vs niland!
