GB F11 - Felixstowe - Week 28 Of 2007.

Evans! clap.gifclap.gifworship.gif

I knew that Josh would give him a good fight. Good to see that he can compete at this level.

I don't know who I want to win between Evans and Goodall. hmm.gif I like Evans more but Goodall badly needs the points.

Great to see Daniel getting to the QF.

Hoping to see him and Daniel Cox in wrexham this year. Was very impressed by Cox last year.

Well, the g**ts at the BBC no longer cover anything other any WTA/ATP events, so getting early results is now rather hard. Requires the LTA to actually update the pdf, which we know they are soooo prompt at doing.

The BBC tennis site is now on minimum maintenance, alas. Ranking lists? Follow link to the ATP/WTA site, they won't highlight UK players. Whilst we cover it all nicely here, I know, it would be good for the Beeb to go a little beyong ATP/WTA/top 50. After all, they can find people to promptly input the Noddy South Eastern football conference division 7 results (with scorers, and attendance figures).

OK, UK futures/challengers were a little local interest, but hey, why not. One phone call a day.

Rant over...

The BBC do update the scores at times (they haven't done it today). What's ridiculous is that the link isn't up on the site! furious.gif

If you Google 'BBC Tennis Results' or something like that, you can get the page.

Ahhhh.... I hadn't realised they had just decided to hide the link. Surreal.... Thanks Arka!

Dan Evans will rise a couple of hundred places with these three ranking points. Good week for him.

How on earth did you come by those?  I've been checking the tournament site (dunno why they bother with one, since it's about as much use as a chocolate fireguard, as they say in my part of the world! confused ), the ATP site, the ITF site &, out of sheer desperation, the LTA site ( eyepopping.gif ) all evening & there's been sod all in the way of results! hmm

What about the doubles?

The kid probably got them off the BBC site. At times they show the results and then take them off for a while.

Hopefully playing Josh was a good experience for Dan. He should get a wild card next week.

Edit: I was wrong.

I have no idea about the doubles sometimes I wrote direct to ATP supervisor. Anytime they are willing anytime unwilling .

Doubt it:  there's still no sign of any kind of link on the site to UK results! angered.gif  That said, it would account for the total lack of doubles results:  the Beeb's never believed in reporting the outcome of anything other than doubles finals... cry

Bit of a mystery this:  the ATP site is showing the result of the men's doubles final, but not the outcome of the earlier singles SFs! confused  Anyway, Goody's completed the first half of his mission this weekend:  he & Rush beat Bammy & May 7-6(5) 4-6 6-3! smile clap.gifwinner.gif
