I guess the same kind of thing may happen as has happened here, with everyone still in the draw at Wimbledon having to pull out of Newport (but only Santoro, LLodra, Kunitsyn, Berrer, Bodanovic, Kim and Moodie are still playing, and all of them in the doubles)

Congrats to Ken on qualifying as well, and good to see him get his name on the ranking lists next week, and hopefully he can get a good draw and win a few rounds (maybe Feeney would be the draw you want)

Slabba is second in the LL list, so an outside chance of him making the main draw

Doubles draw is out

(1) Lars Burgsmuller/Mischa Zverev (GER) vs. (WC) James Clusky (IRE)/Ken Skupski (GBR)

Alex Slabinsky (GBR)/Frederick-Sletting Johnsen (NOR) vs. Colin O'Brien/Louk Sorensen (IRE)

Jamie Baker (GBR)/Brendan Evans (USA) vs. (2) Rohan Boparra (IND)/Adam Feeney (AUS)

Congrats to Skupski, hope he gets a good draw (and anyone but Baker!) and can get some more points. please.gif

Shame for Slabba though cry.gif

As for Newport, Boggo's unlikely to have to pull out, he plays the number 1 seeds next in the mixed doubles, all he needs it to actually get on court!!

This is my first post on this forum, so sorry to be so naive.

Slabba got to the semis of tournament a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't see him getting any ranking points for it, should he have got any?

Welcome to the fraternity, Iain. smile.gif

Rankings are not updated between two week long tournaments. Slabba's points from both the Irish Futures will be added on the 9th of July.

I don't know if you know it (and I am sorry for mentioning this if you do!), but Futures points are added a week after their completion.

both singles matches on court 6 today.

Baker and Evans lost doubles R1 last night to Feeney/Bopanna 7-5 6-4.

Right, I'm off to Malta! party.gif Good luck to all remaining Brits and Wimbledon and Jamie in Dublin. (And Ken!)

Thanks everyone, I'll look forward to seeing Slabba rise upthe rankings then - and Kasiri.

Fingers crossed for the two Brits in Dublin. Skupski did really well just to qualify - beating Maes and Slabba - wow!

Great achievement for Skupski, well done to the lad. Hopefully he can cause an upset vs Feeney.

I'll be cheering on the Irish and British players here. As I'm coming a bit of a fan of Louk Sorensen
biggrin
