oh oh dear. the bcc have a quote from alex on tim's match, but they call him boggy! they just cant get it right can they, poor dears.

LOL that reminds me, while I was looking through the Court 18 fence last night, there were three Essex boys doing the same.

"Come on Boggy" they kept shouting. I didn't have the heart to tell them ...

They seemed to be trying to make out to each other that they were all lifetime fans, but then some honesty crept in as one of them said:

"So which one is Boggy, I'm confused?"

One of the others describes which end of the court he's at, then "Have you never actually seen him before?"

"No," comes the sheepish admission "but I have heard of him"

"Now you mention it, neither have I," says the third.

Still give them their due, they were enthusiastic! biggrin

Childs/Delgado look to be playing very well, and it is a pity that the rain came when it did, as they were on course to go 2 sets to 1 up against last years runners up, so they are having a great start to the match.

Hopefully they can hold onto the break when they come out and complete the match and then try and hold on to win 1 of the remaning 2 sets

does anybody know the answer to the $64,000 question

are the doubles three or five sets

Definitely best of five:  the 13th seeds, Levinsky & Skoch, saw off Granollers-Pujol & Robredo in straights, 6-4 7-6(4) 6-2, the only doubles match completed today, I think... hmm

*  I think, from memory, that Wimbledon's the only Grand Slam where they insist on best of five in the early rounds of the men's doubles, unless there are so many rain interruptions that they start to run out of playing time!weirdface

Tomorrow's OoP is up &, weather permitting, Booty & Stretch will, at long last, be in action in the fifth match on Court 2...

yep its def best of five but it has been known to be best of 3 if the weather is bad enough, like in 2004!
