O'Brien - Krajicek

Top 5 women much more encouraging than the top 5 men (excluding Tim and andy.)

Katie's had a great month.

The Brit girls got a bad press but Keothavong did as well as Gajdosova against Jankovic, Bally played miles better vs Srebotnik than Ozegovic, Krajicek bt 8th seed Chavetadze.

If Bally or Anne had faced Gajy or Ozegovy! they may have won a round. We expect so much of them every year but the luck is always in the draw.

If Henman had had Wayne Arthurs or Jonas Bjorkman's draw this year he would definitely be in R3.

Absolutely agree that our top 5 women are better
than our top men (not Tim or Andy).

The papers were full of it today calling British tennis.
Some players maybe don't deserve the funding/wildcards
that they get given. However, in the womens game there
really does seem to be progress being made with players
like Bally, Naomi and Katie.

Katie was complaining about not having a decent coach
with her all the time and that she was told to get into the
top 75 before she would get the help she wants. This seems
very unfair as in the mens game Boggo has had help from
Lundgren for a while now and you can see the progress
that he has made. Now that Katie is so close to the top 100
she needs the same level of coaching to help her progress
further. Why just the men? We should not lose this chance
to help someone get into the top 100. We really need a woman
or three up there.

Come on LTA.
