The Haas and Ljubicic wax dolls managed to at least postpone the pain.  I wonder if a few more pins could actually cause an upset and keep Andy in the top 10?

Only the boys from the red stuff were knocked out today: Robredo ahead, and Ferrer and Chela behind.

Berdych is the next threat: he overtakes if he beats Lee on Saturday hmm.gif

Gasquet and Youzhny need to reach the quarters to make it past: Gasquet plays Tim- threat Roger-Vasselin tomorrow. Youzhny  plays Nieminen on Saturday.

Isn't this actually Andy's second period inside the top 10? He dropped to 11 a few weeks ago if I recall correctly and then went back up to 8th

Gonzo, Ljubicic and Blake were knocked out today. Haas overtkes Ljubicic, and Federer overtakes Davydenko.

Gasquet and Ferrero advance behind Andy. Gasquet is now just 15 points behind cry.gif 

Berdych overtakes if he beats Lee tomorrow cry.gif

Youzhny  plays Nieminen tomorrow.

Why the blue blazes couldn't he get his stomach problems BEFORE overtaking Andy? laughing.gif

I suspect he had some of the virtually inedible Wimby fish & chips - I tried them on Monday and took food in with me on Thursday and Friday!
