Tim's Live Ranking during weeks 26-27 (Wimbledon)

The New table is posted here (on britishtennis.net)

Tim is defending 35 points. However, Grosjean, Bolelli, Bjorkman, Stepanek among others are defending more, which means that Tim starts the week up one place to 73 smile.gif

RE: Tim's Live Ranking during week 26 (Wimbledon)

The New table is posted here (on britishtennis.net)

Althjough Tim couldn't finish his match, many of those around him did. And as players in the 70s and 80s, a lot of them lost smile.gif

Ahead, Roitman lost.

Behind, Gabashvilli, Hartfield, Querrey and Berlocq are no longer any threat to Tim this week.

Berrer and Serra (that rhymes!!)  both advance. They're both now just one win from overtaking should Tim fall to Moya tomorrow.

The Updated table is posted here (on britishtennis.net)

Tim's victory means he defends his points from last year, and this year it's not Federer in round 2.

Tim climbs four places to 69 biggrin.gif

Ahead, Koubek, Spadea and Garcia-Lopez lost: Tim would overtake them all if he were to beat Lopez.

Santoro and Lopez won, and stay ahead of Tim.

Behind, Johansson, Korolev, Gulbis, Zabaleta and Horna are no longer any threat to Tim this week.

Grosjean, Vliegen and Bolelliadvance to within a win from overtaking should Tim lose against Lopez.

The Updated table is posted here (on britishtennis.net)

The table's gone all red, as most of Tim's competitors join him twiddling their thumbs on the sidelines.

Only Lopez himself  and last year's semi- finalist Jonas Bjorkman advance.

Unfortunately, Bjorkman overtakes in doing so, and knocks Tim down to 70  furious.gif

Ahead, Llodra, Eschauer and Santoro all lost. Behind, Grosjean, Vliegen, Guccione and Bolelli are out and no longer threats.

Roger- Vasselin and Tsonga are the next threats for Tim to worry about: R-V overtakes if he beats Gasquet tomorrow hmm.gif. Tsonga must make the quarter final. He plays F-Lo tomorrow, then the winner of the R-V/Gasquet match.

How does Bjorkman overtake Tim. Bjorkman is seeded 19 so must be 50 places above Tim already?

Bjorkman started the week around number 30 in the world, but because he had a Wimbledon semi final, and a Nottingham final on grass over the last year, he has an awful lot of grass court bonus points added to his ranking to give him such a high seeding

He then drops 450 points from last year's Wimbledon, which is about half of his ranking points and in doing so dropped behind Tim

Lopez is knocked  out by Tsonga, who advances onto the table: He's now just 12 points behind Tim, and can overtake him if he beats Gasquet on Monday hmm.gif

Roger- Vasselin was knocked out so doesn't overtake.smile.gif

Bjorkman's victory over Arthurs means he climbs off the top of the table.

Tsonga plays Gasquet tomorrow (weather permitting), and will overtake if he wins.

Zabaleta plays Schwank in Turin.
