2nd set Booty / Stretch 6-3 in 28 mins. They did not drop a pt on serve the whole set !!!
CTB :
J&R to serve first..
1-0 on serve 1-1 os 2-1 os 2-2 os 3-2 os 3-3 os 3-4 3-5 Booray make their move 4-5 Booray 4-6 booray 4-7 Booray they have not dropped a service point since the first set !!! 5-7 Booray up the mb. 5-8 another mb to Booray....almost over ! 5-9 4 mps.... 5-10 all over !!
Well done to Booty and Stretch! I'm glad it was close, Goodall and Hutchins can take a lot from that into Wimbledon and hopefully that gives Goodall added confidence in the singles as well

Apart from a couple of pts in the first set Booray dominated....36/39 pts won on their own serve...very impressive..those 3 dropped pts where in the first set. Josh and Ross saved 8 of 9 BPs whereas Booray saved 2/3.
Hutchins never got broken and it was Josh that lost his serve twice in the second set after starting with several aces in the first set.
So thats 3 ATP titles this year so far for Booty and Stretch...what bet for their first grand slam now ?
Surely they must have lost more than 3 points on serve. They got broken.

So, a third ATP title for B&S! It's such a shame, though, that one pair had to lose, but today's match tie-break (I wish someone would hurry up & standardise the term used for the decider in doubles matches outside the Slams: I've opted for that one because it was the one they were using at Queen's last week &, as much as anything because, logically, a champion's tie-break can happen only in the final - yes, I know today's match was the final... ) was obviously one too far for the wild cards! That said, even reaching the final will've done their combined ranking a power of good (just checked: 175 points for B&S, 120 for G&H! )! Well done, both pairs! Anyone bothered to work out yet what effect it will have? Like you, imoen, I hope G&H's achievement this will give Josh a psychological boost for the Wimby singles (& both of 'em in the doubles!)...
P.S. Caught a very brief glimpse earlier of the end of the match on Sky Sports News. Judy was there, looking a very proud mum!
