Just can't believe how much work you put into this and what a fantastic job you and your helpers do. I've not yet managed to work out a)when you get your real work done b)when you pursue that other hobby of yours and c)when you sleep. Not only that but you are winning too. Amazing and brilliant. Thanks once again.

Thanks, we do our best. The best answer to your question is c) sleep - what's that? wink

(Do you think you could also do something about the rain?)

LOL unfortunately not, but maybe Bethan can! (she's better than me at keeping that unruly AM.com lot fairly sweet, which must be many times harder than controlling the weather! wink)

Impressive stuff, guys.

The amount of work you do for this is amazing.

Also thanks. It's not as bad as it looks now that so much is semi-automated, though this one has been more work than I expected.

Bethan's a student and as for me, I am the boss! LOL (and don't worry, I fit plenty of work in yawn)

Having worked 18 hours+ a day to make the business successful and get people trained up, I'm so used to surviving on very little sleep that I can just about fit in stuff like this. This is also notionally our quietest part of the year, though actually it's been anything but this year. yawn

Either that or I'm mad. Most probably both! wink

THURSDAY NIGHT UPDATE

All of the detailed web pages about the competition have now been updated and are linked to from http://www.britishtennis.net/competitions.html

The updates include:

- team and individual results updated to the end of R2 (by the way, 'Fans' overtook 'Actives' today!)
- the downloadable Excel sheet with all of the entry information on it has had its colour-coding updated to the end of R2
- a new picks analysis for R3 (and colour coding of the R2 outcomes to show where we went most wrong) and sorting by popularity within each match (*)
- a new column on the individual tables which shows how many over your picks to win R3 matches actually made it to R3 in the first place - see next post

(*) You will notice that some of the matches have had very few different winners picked for them, e.g. in match 2, 66% of us went for Tursunov, 33% for Haas and the only other picks (one each) were Zib and Fleishman. Conversely, all eight players who were originally in the section that has resulted in the Davydenko-Monfils match were picked to reach R4 by at least one entrant. N.B. Korolev was picked by an individual entrant, in case you are wondering why there is only a 1% in the ALL column.

As I mentioned above, I have added a new column to the individual tables which shows you how many of the players you picked to win the current round actually made it to that round in the first place. These new figures give some idea of who's got the most scope to pile up the points in R3. I'm hoping some of you will find it useful - it was simple enough to add once I realised how!

I find it very interesting that the entrants who could still potentially get all 16 R3 winners right (because all of their R3 winner picks survived R2) don't include anyone in the top 10 (*), despite those in the top 10 having got the most picks right so far, and do include an entrant who is currently only just inside the top 50! The lucky/clever three are:

- BBC's courtjester72 in 12th=, 11 points behind the leader
- AM's Kels in 16th=, 12 points behind the leader
- AM's cdagger in 47th=, 17 points behind the leader

(*) All of the top 10 have at least 13 R3 winner picks who survived R2 and everybody right down to the bottom of the table can still potentially score for at least 9 R3 winners.

Looks like my tournament is at a premature end after the heroic downfall of Tigger.

Today's detailed results can be found via www.britishtennis.net/Competitions.html

Is anyone still interested in updates on here (I'm asking because I seem to be the only person posting on this thread) or are you all getting your updates on AM.com / not interested any more?

TEAMS after 109 matches

The battle to lead the pack chasing MTF has been switching around between the three teams that between them contain many of the people who post on here, i.e. BT.net itself, BTZ and the Rusedski board. This is how it looked at the end of the day:

Luke Croll (GR) maintains his lead at the top of the individual table. The real star of this round however is the BBC's courtjester72 who has got no less than 10/12 so far in R3! Only 3rd placed Josh (BT) with 9/12 comes close to that - that's why Josh is up 4 places today. smile

Team leaders MTF only have one player in the top 8 now (early leader Invu2day in 4th place), but they then have 5 of the next 7, which explains why the MTF team is still so far ahead at the top of the teams table.

Biggest fallers today were Jelena (AR) down 58 to 106 and loo4efc (RN) down 64 from 20 to 84 - the latter got 0/4 today. cry Billy the bookie bot has also had a dire R3, getting just 5/12 correct in R3 so far.

Biggest risers of the day were Carrie (AM) & OSmeone (KC), both up 37 at 96 & 97 respectively. smile Quite a few players rose more than 30 places today.

The other interesting thing about today's results is that entrants from England now fill the top 8 places!
