Boggo's Live Ranking During Week 25 (Nottingham)

The New Table is posted here (on britishtennis.net)

Alex starts the week climbing three places to 107 smile.gif, as Seppi, Hernych and Hajek defend points from last year.  He's a good chance of defending that rise as well, as most players behind him are not scoring points in week 25, as they're playing Wimbly qualies for week 26/27 points.

no- not yet, he's defendig 75 points from a semi- final. The 15 he got today do take him to within a win of overtaking Alex if loses against GGL.

As it stands Boggo would need to reach the semis to break the top100 this week.

More info in the morning as if I tried to do it now I'd either confuse everyone by talking utter rubbish or confuse everyone by failing to remember that 1+1=4

The Updated Table is posted here (on britishtennis.net)

While Bethan's trying to remember her 1 times table,  Pavel is knocked out behind Boggo, and if he can turn around his match and win today, Peya and Devilder have kindly lost ahead of him  smile.gif

However, over in s'Hertogenbosch Seppi wins. hmm.gif

I'm back and I now know that 1+1=3 smile.gif So we can move onto Boggo's ranking with the confidence that everything I say is correct!

As Rob said, there was some good news and some bad news yesterday. What it means in terms of the numbers follows below:

If Alex manages to win (and I have absolute faith in him) he'll definitely gain 2 places to 105 and could also overtake Brzezicki if he loses today in challengerland.

If he loses, he's safe for the day but Seppi is only a win away (just not playing) and Udomchoke is two wins away so would be grand if he lost today. There are more people further below wanting to overtake this week but it's not as crowded as usual because of the Wimbledon qualifying going on.

As I said before Alex would need a semis appearance to break the top 100 this week as Cilic, luczak, Guzman and Mahut insisted on gaining more points at the back end of last week.

So the best case for today is Alex to win and Brzezicki to lose, leaving him at 104. The worst case Alex to lose and remain at 107.

no worries, see that's why it's good to go through your 1 times tables before posting about the rankings, that way you know if you're more likely to get something wrong wink.gif

Well, it's bad news on the whole Boggo losing front. But on the bright side, Udomchoke just lost meaning Boggo won't lose a place to him.

I'll do a full reckoning of who can overtake and when later this evening but the people we want to lose who are playing today are:

Vanek
Montcourt
Saretta
Hajek
Gimelstob
Sluiter
and technically Bloomfield but he can win a few rounds yet.

(Seppi and Haase are closer threats but they don't play today. still if you have any malice left over feel free to give them food posioning/no sleep tonight or something similar)

The Updated Table is posted here (on britishtennis.net)

Unfortunately, Udomchoke losing meant that  he was beaten by Dlouhy, who got his place as a lucky loser and overtakes Alex furious.gif Alex down to 108 cry.gif

Also knocked out today were Vanek, behind and Brzezicki ahead smile.gif

Seppi advances to within a win of overtaking cry.gif
