Well played eaton, even taking a set against a player ranked so much higher then him is still a very good achievement i reckon. despite his defficiency on this surface

The last time Salamanca won a match away from clay was 27th March 06 in a satellite against a Brazilian ranked in 700s. He lost next round to an Argentinian who was ranked 707 at the time

That explains it. Mackin didn't bother to withdraw (he has retired, so they can't demand a fine) and they put him in the draw by mistake.
