15-0 good start 30-0 40-0 40-15 1 of them saved.... still don't know whether sp's or mp's - come on though Lee 40-30 getting a bit tense now
and nothing is happening on the scoreboard... still 40-30
and GSM CHILDS!!! Scoreboard is saying the match is completed, so Lee Childs has qualified for Wimbledon!
Great result Lee, and it has been a very good week for you (and proved those who said you should become a doubles specialist wrong, even though he will probably lose in round 1)
Okay... so no-one seems to know what is going on... as Childs was now leading 5-4 in the 4th when Crugnola retired....
I'm guessing Childs is about to serve for the match, but that can only be a guess.... are we sure the LTA isn't running the qualifiyng competiton, as this seems like the kind of ****-up they would be proud to put together
When I first checked the Wimbers site it was showing Childs losing with a retirement at 2-3. I was in mid post with the bad news when I checked the site again and it had Childs winning 5-3 in the 4th set! It's now showing Childs winning 6-4 in the 4th!
The Fleischman match is still showing him winning 7-6 in the 3rd.
First of all, brilliant wins by Childs the last two days. He could hardly have had a better draw (a Brit then two players playing their first tournaments on grass) but there have been plenty of times when Brits haven't taken advantage of a draw like that and the last two were ranked a lot higher than him. It was particularly impressive to have seen a Brit come out on the right side of a very long final set yesterday.

ROFLMAO I'm sure they have a finger in that pie, but if you'd listened to the live Wimby draw a couple of years ago, you'd know that the AELTC are capable of at least equal incompetence.
Alan Mills: "Oh b****r, looks like we're going to have to start that draw again!"
(that's 'bother', natch!)
Did they get Fleishman out again for a 3rd set, or was it just the scoreboard that was up the creek all along?
