Another qualifying draw with just two ranked players in it!


QR1: Orion Modebe UNR v Andrea de Jacobis (ITA) UNR (winner to play (q1) Antoine Tassart (FRA) WR 1377)
QR1: Ben Pritchard UNR v Jesper Brunstrom (SWE) UNR - if Ben can win this match, we will be guaranteed a qualifier
QR1: John Rambotas UNR v Peter Raynes UNR - winner to play the winner of the match above
QR1: Peter Dowdeswell UNR v Mads Melby (NOR) UNR

R1: Amadeus Fulford-Jones WR 1145 v TBA


QR1 is being played on Saturday.

It says (GER) against Richard on the draw, which is why I missed it, but I assume you're right and he is British!

Edit: His ITF player record says Germany and on google, all references to him suggest he plays for Germany too.

I think we've got them all between us now. I like the idea of the new standard format for the titles, not quite sure I know what the exact format is though! It seems to vary depending on who is posting. LOL

Orion Modebe is 19 and ranked 69 on the LTA list, making him the Hertfordshire no. 5. His highest junior ranking was 1278 in January 2006 (his junior activity can be found at http://www.itftennis.com/juniors/players/activity.asp?player=100026592) and this is his first Future.

I saw Ben Pritchard play at the British Tour event in Corby and I was pretty impressed. He's one of our better unranked players and his results have been steadily improving over the last few months. He deserves at least one ranking point for now and then we'll see what happens. Let's hope he gets it here.
