Middlesbrough, please - & don't bother disputing the challenge:  I was born & brought up there! wink  M's also 120 miles or so north east of Nottingham, so it's a poor indicator of the weather conditions there...! clueless.gif

Hardly.  I was merely quoting facts.  Why didn't you bother checking yours before you posted? nana.gif

Bjorkman is defending finals points so will be up for it, and can't be too much on the wane having reached Roland Garros 4th round.

I think Bloomers will have to play out of his skin to win.

Tim really should beat Russell on the grass. I've no idea what GGL is like on grass. confused.gif

Surely them moving indoors doesn't prevent them from putting up the results on the board? confused.gif

I understand that they may have problems with providing LS...

I know it sounds stupid but I'm sure some of these Brits would have a better chance if they played S'Hertogenbosch because the qualies draw is even weaker than Nottingham and the cut is BYES.

Baker would be seeded 3 and a shoe in to qualify. Same for Goodall or Marray. And then they at least get 5 points with main draw wins a bonus. And some of the more obscure Brits would stand a better chance too I tihnk.

Also, why no Jim May in Nottingham? Can anyone shed light on that. In his form he could qualify? confused.gif

Radio shed no light on the qualies, but i know they moved indoors about 12, chances they could still be playing some Rd1's

Yes, but players don't know from before whether the cut would be low or not. The cut in Den Bosch was 861 last year.

Also, the third wild card was unknown till the last day. Baker and Goodall could have landed in Netherlands and received a phone call saying that they have secured a wild card into Nottingham.

Plus there's the money factor.

Yes, if he qualified for Nottingham, he would miss Wimbly qualies.

But that's hardly a reason to miss this! He would get 5 points and a lot of money if he managed to qualify.
