Oh thats a shame, its a travesty that he's not going to get any points for this because he desrves at least 5!!!! Hopefully the defeat won't get him down and he takes the positives from this match as well as the superb victory againt a top 500 player such as Brendan Evans and uses that to get on the ranking list, and then who knows. He definately deserves a wc into any futures.
Gimelstob vs. Skupski is now on the scoreboard, so I guess that will be starting soon. I'd love Ken to get the win, but I see him losing quite easily after the effort he put in earlier
Does anyone know anything about Ken though, as I had never heard of him before this week
There was a snippet in the Times last week mentioning Del Potro at Queens. The article was suggesting he was too tall and struggled on the grass against Nadal and was a bit like bambi at times. Hopefully he'll be the same this week.
Fair enough maybe he had an off day against Nadal, I didn't see it, like I said just going off the report in the Times. Let's hope he has another off day, I would think much depends upon how Baker deals with the serve.
Yeah agreed on that, i think Baker needs to get every ball back as possible and tr to make him run as i think he wasn't great at hitting and running on the grass(maybe thats what the article meant).
Josh should be able to beat Gabashvilli, so that is a great chance for him to pick up some much needed ranking points
Jamie gets Del Potro, which isn't the worst draw, as he proved against Guiccione that he can cope with the big serve, and Guccione's serve is better than Del Potro's, and he broke him 3 times.
Hope to see all 5 Brits in the second round, but I don't think Bloomers will win, and I would guess that only 1 of the qualifiers will win their match, with the other going down in 3
Henman and Boggo both should win in straights (hopefully Gasquet/Spadea goes to 3 so that the match doesn't start before I finish my exam)
