A-Bog v A-Rod

3rd up on centre tomorrow (1st up is the culmination of Safin's match; 4-4 in the 3rd so shouldnt take long)

A great opportunity for Alex to go out there and show where he is now. Following a dominant display over Lee and a battleing comback against Baker, Alex can step out on court and enjoy himself with nothing to lose. Some points/money in the bag, this isn't a 1st round nightmare draw he is used to. No one honestly expects him to win, and most will be suprised if the match is 'in the balence at any stage'. Roddick has a fantastic record on grass, his last 4 loses being to our Andy, Blake and The Fed twice.

Alex has trained with Andy earlier this year so will have had a look at The Serve, of course the opposite also applies, which is a shame as it can take players a while to figure out Alex's serve.

Possibly Alex has the fact the he can call on Brad Gilbert's excellent knowledge of Andy's game to benefit him (if i was Alex i'd offer to buy Brad dinner tonight smile).

So what are our score predictions? Alex has rarely been embarassed by the big guns on grass but i dont realisticly see him winning a set.

AR 75 64 AB

Go on Alex prove me wrong.....

It is sad that Andy has been rolling....I like Andy, a class guy etc, but I really wouldn't mind an upset.....doubt it will happen though, 6-4, 6-3 AR.

I was impressed with Boggo against Lee, I reckon he can do it if Roddick has an off day. If Boggo can get Roddick into some long rallies that would be great, Roddick likes short points.

Just logged on to read through Baker v Boggo and seen this thread. Hate it when people put them up so early :(

No probs mate. I know you're probably just so excited about Al being on centre court against the Rodman hehe. You going to watch? I'll be at work but will read through this thread when I get back. Come on the Bog!

does anyone know why they leave it so late to start? i know they need to give the courts time to dry off in the morning, but surely 12.30 is too late? esp when we have dodgy weather forcasts.

it starts at 12.30 to give the corporates time to at least start their lunch before play!

not joking - better that at least it fills up by 1.30 time then loads of seats empty for entire match - queens is v big on the corporate hosp.
