Boggo vs Jamie B

The right result I think. But very glad Baker made a good match of it. Well done to Boggo for coming back after being a set and a break down. I hope he makes a match of it against Roddick. You never know what might happen.

what a game, boggo just came through in the end there, i guess big match experince, maybe Jb got a bit tight, possibly started thinking abotu the consequences of not only beating boggo, but playing roddick on centre etc.

Still a big hand to Jamie what a battle. hopefully that will ive him a WC to nottingham (Tim and alex geting the other 2) Bloomers whould miss out, which is a shame has he had a tough opening match here.

John Lloyd just said he thinks Boggo will be in the Top 100 now! Obviously does not inspect the rankings as much as some guys on here!

yeah v good match, maybe alex's experiencem, having played here and on the atp tour much miore before, came through in the end.

funny coz the match was almsot the reverse of jamie's opening match.

anyway, haopefully this can give jamie renewed confidence for the rest of the season, and he can crack the top 100, and hopefully this should be the stepping stone that alex needs to get into the top 100 - a win at notts and wimbledon may do that!

good stuff guys! bring on a-rod!

i think goodall will get notts wc btw, having missed out here (along with tim and alex)

not sure thats how they will look at it GB. JB has made the headlines. goodall's tame loss in qualies. doesnt help. its a shame but i dont think the tounrie directors look at things which are 'fair' as such.

Tim not enetering has screwed everyone over. he should have entered. as noe baker/bloomers/goodall all want the 1 spot. (assuming boggo gets one which i think he will, no comfirmaiton on that yet tho)

Well Done Boggo. Tough match.

Good to see Jaime back in some good form again. Would be great to see him break the top 200 during this grass season.

Thought it looked a good close match with plenty of big points which should stand them both in good stead.

Glad Boggo won as he's nearer to top 100 now and has a slightly better chance against Roddick and of defending more points next year!

Re: Nottingham - Josh might get the chance. He wasn't that tame in qualies. I watched it. He was better than Rushby for example who lost very tamely. And his conqueror not only won in Surbiton but has just put Hewitt out of Queens. Josh took a set.
