boggo v baker is 1st up on court 1. i think they can get a camera on that court but if they show it i will be suprised. it clashes with nole v kendrick.

Some of those questions are shocking. Read the Baker interview. The reporters have no idea where Jamie's training base has been for the last three weeks. They ask him if it was Bradenton, he confirms Saddlebrook. Surely not top secret, they could have found it out beforehand. Then they ask him "What is your record with Alex?" Blow me, just go on the itf site and check out head to head why don't you!? Just shows how little the sports reporters in this country know and care about tennis.

I see the second set of the bogin match today and boggo played much better than safin. Can't remeber any winners from safin and boggo was hitting winners from everywhere, at least three return winners. One game safin missed three very easy volleys, but boggo hit four winners. If safin was playing singles he would probably have smashed a couple of rackets. Saw nearly all of Auckland/Ginepori but they were completed out-played and never had a chance of winning. They made too many errors and both gonzo and jmdp were solid.
btw michael, if you want to see court 1 you won't be able to leave your seat all day, there was an hour queue just for that court during the nadal match. I left at the end of Hen/Hew first set to see the other brits and when I came back there was still a 20 min queue for the all french dubs match.
Steven texted me to say boggo was playing fantastic. cant believe he carried Safin!!
Lets hope this work with Lundi keeps paying off. Against Baker the situation will be slighty different as Alex will be the clear favourtite for this match so the psychology will be reversed from almost anyother match Alex will play this week. Hopefully Lundi will work on keeping Alex focused on each point, no worrying about the crowd, media or roddick. He will know Jamie will fight till to the last.
Its a shame they have to meet, but at least it garuntees us a brit in the 3rd round. Of cosure i want boggo to make it, and i think he would be able to give Roddick a better game as well.
Extra: The A-Rod on the A-Bog: "I practiced with Alex a little bit last December for three or four days, and you know he's kind of an up-and-coming player," Roddick told British Eurosport regarding the third-ranked Briton.
and another bit from Rod: "I haven't seen Jamie Baker play but I'll be sure to tune in tomorrow when they have their match."

Much as I love Baker I want Boggo to win this one. i agree with Count that he'd give Roddick a better game and I really want Boggo to break the top100. Hopefully he manages being the clear favourite though becuase he's playing a Brit it won't be too much of a disaster if he doesn't!
Also i get the feeling from some of the comments John Lloyd has made that this match (with the matches at Wimbledon) is in effect an audition for the final DC spot.
